I have been lucky enough to have Shaun as my go to plumber for many years. He has always been knowledgeable, he finds the problem and fixes it, he’s honest and great to work with. I am so excited that he and Jason ( also awesome) have teamed up to offer the best service around.

What we cover in Okotoks

Same scope as our SE Calgary service, dispatched south on Highway 2.

Emergency plumbing

Burst pipes, no-water calls, sewer backups. See emergency plumber Calgary for the full scope.

Poly-B replacement

Drake Landing, Cimarron, and other 90s-era Okotoks builds are right in the Poly-B failure window. Free inspection, written quote. See Poly-B replacement Calgary for the full process.

Well-water systems

Acreage properties south and east of Okotoks run on private wells. We size softeners, install filtration and iron-removal stages, and service pressure tanks + pump-side plumbing.

Hot water tanks

Same-day tank replacement on Bradford White and John Wood, plus tankless installs.

Boiler & furnace service

Annual boiler service, boiler repair, furnace install, high-efficiency furnaces for cold-snap performance.

Drain cleaning

Hydro-jetting and camera inspection. See drain cleaning Calgary.

Why Okotoks plumbing is different from Calgary

Okotoks isn't just "Calgary further south." The town has its own water source, a distinct build-era mix, and a real acreage component that all change what we run into on service calls.

Sheep River water + groundwater blend

Okotoks Town water comes from the Sheep River and a deep aquifer — slightly different mineral profile than Calgary's Bow/Elbow supply. Hardness is still high enough that softeners pay back quickly on fixture and water-heater life.

Drake Landing's solar district heating

Drake Landing Solar Community uses seasonal borehole thermal storage to heat homes via hydronic loops. The in-home distribution is conventional, but the supply connections and heat-exchanger interface need somebody who knows what they're looking at before swapping a circulator or rebalancing a manifold.

Poly-B concentration in 90s builds

Cimarron, Drake Landing, Crystal Shores, Sheep River Ridge — the 1990s and early 2000s expansion happened right in the polybutylene window. A high portion of resale homes here still have it, and 25-30 years in it starts splitting at the brass crimp fittings.

Well water on acreage south + east

Foothills County land outside town limits is well-and-septic, not municipal. Iron, manganese, and hardness can each be severe. We pull a real water test before quoting a softener or RO system — sizing from the side of the box wastes money on most Okotoks wells.

Olde Towne heritage stock

Homes north of Elma Street and around the original railway grid date back to the 1900s-1940s. Galvanized supply, cast-iron drains, original clay sewer laterals. Repairs there are about preserving the finished interior — different mindset than ripping out drywall in a 2010 build.

Septic on the rural fringe

Many acreage properties run on septic fields rather than municipal sewer. We don't pump tanks — but we do diagnose backups, replace failed pumps, and rebuild the in-home side (drain stacks, vent integrity, ejector pumps for below-grade fixtures).

Okotoks Plumbing FAQs

How does dispatch to Okotoks work?

We dispatch from Calgary south on Highway 2 — straight shot from the south end of the city. Emergency calls receive priority routing over scheduled work. Call 587-834-3668 and we'll confirm a window before the truck rolls.

Do many Okotoks homes have Poly-B?

Yes — substantial portions of Drake Landing, original Cimarron, Crystal Shores, and other 90s-and-early-2000s builds were piped with polybutylene. Most are now at 25-30 years and starting to fail at the brass crimp fittings. If yours hasn't been inspected, it's worth a free look — failure usually shows as a slow ceiling-line stain before it becomes a flood.

Do you work on Drake Landing's solar heating system?

We work on the conventional side — circulators, manifolds, in-home hydronic distribution, supply connections. The seasonal borehole storage field itself is district infrastructure (not homeowner-serviced), but anything from the building entry inward is fair game and we know how the system is laid out.

Can you handle well water and septic on Okotoks acreage?

Yes. Wells: softeners, iron and manganese filtration, pressure tanks, pump-side plumbing. Septic: diagnosing backups, replacing failed lift/ejector pumps, drain stack and vent integrity — basically everything in-home that connects to the septic field. We don't pump tanks; that's a specialty truck. Bring a recent water test (or we can take one) and we'll spec properly.

Do you service the Olde Towne heritage homes?

Yes — galvanized supply lines, cast-iron stacks, original clay laterals. We work on the heritage infrastructure with the same approach we use in Calgary's Mount Royal: preserve the finished interior, target the actual failure, document what's behind the wall for future work.

Are you licensed for Okotoks?

Yes. Alberta plumbing and gas-fitting licenses cover Okotoks and the surrounding Foothills County, and we handle Town of Okotoks permits where required.
